One thing you might not know about me is that I love shooting headshots. As a Charlotte photographer I really enjoy shooting portraits in fact its my personal favorite part of shooting a wedding. Portraits of all kinds are my jam no matter if it's senior portraits, bride and groom portraits or headshots, I love it all! When I photograph a headshot session its less formal and I take the photos outdoors, or in a stunning room that is filled with natural light. But for the most part I specialize in fine art outdoor photo sessions. This style of headshot portraiture is a little less traditional because its not done in a studio with studio lights. However its still professional and most of all beautiful!
Here is an example of how I shoot my headshots. I did an outdoor headshot session with Susie Williams Ray (with Mungo Homes) a little over a month ago at The Hampton Preston Mansion in Columbia, SC and I am thrilled with how they turned out. Susie is gorgeous and a natural in front of the camera! You will notice that although they are not in a studio they are still traditionally framed and cropped but they are outdoors. What do you think, do you like this modern approach to headshots?
